Lymn The Family Funeral Service is a well-known name which has been associated with Nottingham’s inner city for more than 117 years. Our headquarters are located in Sneinton, just a few hundred yards from Goosegate, where our founders, Arthur William Lymn and his son Harold Percy Lymn, traded as furniture makers and dealers at the turn of the nineteenth century.

One of our qualified staff is ready to talk with you at any time We are available to discuss your own personal requirements 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through our network of 27 Offices serving Nottinghamshire and South Derbyshire. Fred Beeson established a funeral service in Radcliffe on Trent in 1937 and moved to a purpose built funeral home in 1961. The business was incorporated into the A W Lymn group in 1994 and still remains at the same location. The premises underwent a major refurbishment in 2020. Radcliffe on Trent is one of our extensive network of {module_contentholder name="[Content]_AWLymn_Office"} local offices serving Nottingham, Derby and surrounding areas. The funeral home is run by Funeral Director Jane Keetley who will be able to assist you Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm and on Saturdays, from 9 am to 12.30 pm. If you need assistance outside of office hours then please call our telephone number at any time. The funeral home covers Radcliffe and all its surrounding areas, including Barnstone, Bingham, Caythorpe, Colston Bassett, Cotgrave, Cropwell Bishop, Cropwell Butler, East Bridgford, Granby, Gunthorpe, Harby, Hickling, Kinoulton, Langar, Long Clawson, Lowdham, Owthorpe, Plungar, Shelford, Tythby, Upper Saxondale and further afield. ATTENDED FUNERAL (funeral director’s charges only)

Taking care of all necessary legal and administrative arrangements	£950.00
Collecting and transporting the deceased person from the place of death (normally within 15 miles of the funeral director’s premises) into the funeral director’s care	£450.00

For an Attended or Unattended burial funeral, the burial fee.¹ In this local area, the typical cost of the burial fee for local residents is: For a new grave, you will also need to pay for the plot; for an existing grave with a memorial in place, you may need to pay a removal/replacement fee. In addition, the cemetery may charge a number of other fees.	£2,249.00

The funeral director can give you a full list of what they can supply. They are likely to charge for these additional products and services, so you may choose to take care of some arrangements without their involvement, or you can use a different supplier.

1. This fee (which is sometimes called the interment fee) is the charge made for digging and closing a new grave, or for reopening and closing an existing grave.

2. In England, Wales and Northern Ireland, you will usually need to pay doctors’ fees as well. This is the charge for two doctors to sign the Medical Certificates for Cremation.
