Since 1963, Barrells Funeral Directors has been proud to offer funeral services and cremation services to the local community. You will find us in the centre of Portsmouth on Fratton Road, opposite St. Mary’s Church and in Waterlooville, on the main London Road. For your convenience, we have ample parking at both premises. Our experienced staff will guide you through the arrangements and answer any questions you may have. We understand that you will want to make the funeral as unique as your loved one and we will give you advice on the options open to you. We guarantee that whether you choose to arrange a grand send off or a simple funeral, we will give you the same level of care and attention. We are highly experienced funeral directors with beautifully decorated premises and a pristine fleet of vehicles to ensure the funeral or cremation you receive is of the highest standard but at an affordable price. We are open and honest about all our charges and offer two separate options.

The funeral director can give you a full list of what they can supply. They are likely to charge for these additional products and services, so you may choose to take care of some arrangements without their involvement, or you can use a different supplier.
1. This fee (which is sometimes called the interment fee) is the charge made for digging and closing a new grave, or for reopening and closing an existing grave.
2. In England, Wales and Northern Ireland, you will usually need to pay doctors’ fees as well. This is the charge for two doctors to sign the Medical Certificates for Cremation.
