Biffens Independent Family Funeral Directors In Bridgwater
H Biffen & Sons Ltd was established in 1920 by Harry Biffen when he launched a Taxi and Limousine business in Bridgwater. Following the death of Harry in 1972, Biffen’s gave up the taxi service side of the business. Harry’s children Bill and Ron, joined the business after the war and all three worked side by side. Biffens became H Biffen And Sons Ltd and was registered on 13th December 1946. In 1944 when Ron retired, Bills son – John joined and most recently in 2003 John’s Daughter Sarah was welcomed to the firm. Sadly, Bill died in 2010. Today, the two generations work side by side to provide the friendly family service that we have become renowned for. Our dedicated, caring and experienced family have been helping people through the challenging and emotional process of funeral planning for many years. We can arrange everything, from coffin and flower provision to publishing obituaries and managing charitable donations. Every person is unique, and that is why we believe that funerals should be equally individual. From something simple, to traditional to the complete outrageous. As such, we offer many bespoke services so that you can add special, heartfelt and personal extra touches for a truly fitting farewell. Also, if you are looking to plan ahead for your own funeral, we can tailor you a pre-paid funeral plan from Golden Charter. These plans allow you to fix your funeral costs, lessen the financial burden for your loved ones, and ensure your wishes are understood.
