Joseph C Roberts are a family owned independent funeral directors who take the stress out of making funeral arrangements, whether it be the simplicity of a direct cremation, traditional cremation, or burial we pledge to help you make those plans with immediate personal attention. We provide for a range of budgets to meet your individual needs, from DWP assisted funerals to the most elaborate of bespoke funerals including horse drawn funerals. Our personalised service means any request can be accommodated whether at time of need or as part of a pre-paid funeral plan. We operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to ensure that when you need help, we are here to assist you with empathy and expertise. We have been trusted undertakers since 1930 when Joseph C Roberts started the business, he continued to operate the business for almost 50 golden years before his son Charles took over. Joseph C Roberts is now under the control of the third generation of family members who continue to operate with total honesty and transparency, so we know how to ensure your loved ones receive the respect, dignity and personal care they deserve, this is instilled within all of our team and forms an integral part of our customer care charter. With offices in Harrogate, Wetherby, Leeds and Pontefract, we are ideally positioned to ensure you receive an efficient, local and dedicated service throughout North and West Yorkshire. Taking care of all necessary legal and administrative arrangements £660.00
Collecting and transporting the deceased person from the place of death (normally within 15 miles of the funeral director’s premises) into the funeral director’s care £260.00

Viewing of the deceased person for family and friends, by appointment with the funeral director (where viewing is requested by the customer) £20.00

The funeral director can give you a full list of what they can supply. They are likely to charge for these additional products and services, so you may choose to take care of some arrangements without their involvement, or you can use a different supplier.

1. This fee (which is sometimes called the interment fee) is the charge made for digging and closing a new grave, or for reopening and closing an existing grave.

2. In England, Wales and Northern Ireland, you will usually need to pay doctors’ fees as well. This is the charge for two doctors to sign the Medical Certificates for Cremation.
