Established in 1982 Peter Dodd Family Funeral Directors were established in 1982. Peter worked for a number of Funeral Directors before setting up his own business in Grindon where he was brought up by his mother Kath. After a number of years Peter expanded and opened his second funeral home in Roker. After many years of looking after the business and caring for the public Peter sadly passed away while on holiday in Spain. Since Peter’s passing the business has continued to grow with the opening of a new Funeral Home in Hylton Castle. Here at Peter Dodd we strongly believe we give the deceased and the family and friends very high standards maintaining quality, respect, dignity and trust to families just as Peter would have done himself. Peter Dodd continues to be missed not only by his work colleagues but also by his family, friends and the community.
