James Auld Funeral Directors are part of a family who have lived on the Rosneath Peninsula for over one hundred years. Because of this we consider that we are well qualified to care for the needs of local families. We are the only locally owned funeral directors in the Helensburgh area.
We are not limited in the service that we provide. We are members of the National Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF), the only professional organisation in the UK dedicated to serving the local independent family-owned funeral director and his community. Through this membership we are able to assist your family in the event of a death occurring away from home. Our attention is concentrated on satisfying the needs of our friends and neighbours. We are not distracted nor bound by corporate rules handed down from head office. We are flexible and responsive and aim to tailor every funeral to each family’s personal requirements. Funerals are not inexpensive and there is a comprehensive list of our charges, the main variant is the quality of coffin selected. James Auld Funeral Directors supply coffins of the highest quality wood veneer or ones manufactured from solid oak or solid mahogany. We also provide our own range of Cremation Urns and solid wood caskets for cremated remains. We can also supply a choice of environmentally friendly coffins, urns and caskets.
